3DEM Map Library

Collected here are matched sets of Digital Elevation Models (DEMs), Digital Raster Graphic Topographic Maps (DRGs), and Digital Orthophoto Quad Aerial Photographs (DOQs).  3DEM software builds a terrain model from the DEM, and then overlays the DRG or DOQ image for creation of 3D scenes and flyby animations.   GPS waypoints and tracks can also be plotted on the surface for visualization of a path through the wilderness.  These files require the use of 3DEM version 16 or higher.

DEMs are provided in tar.gz format that can be read directly by 3DEM.  DRGs and DOQs in geotiff format (*.tif) can also be read directly by 3DEM.  DRGs and DOQs in compressed zip format (*.zip) must be decompressed with WinZip before they can be read by 3DEM.
