SpeechPitch

 

 

SpeechPitch shareware is a development of Prof. Garyth Nair of Drew University and Dr. Mara Behlau of Centro de Estudos da Voz-CEV, Brazil.  Speech Pitch is intended for use by clinicians in evaluation and modification of the habitual pitch of speech.  Controls are provided for measurement of habitual pitch and for determination of desired habitual pitch changes by the clinician.  The patient is then assisted in achieving the desired habitual pitch through real-time visual feedback.

VoceVista - Audio



 

 

VoceVista-Audio shareware is a development of Dr. Donald Miller and the University of Groningen Voice Research Laboratory and Prof. Garyth Nair of Drew University.  The program provides detailed analysis and comparison of the audio spectrogram and audio power spectrum of either real-time or recorded voice.  It provides real-time visual feedback to the student using displays of the audio frequency spectrum of the voice.

VoceVista-Audio is identical to VoceVista-Pro described above except that it is dedicated to the analysis of the audio spectrum.  It does not  include use of the Electroglottograph, nor does it provide high time-resolution analysis of waveforms.

MatchPitch

 

 

 

 

MatchPitch shareware is a development of Prof. Garyth Nair of Drew University for use in singing instruction in the Voice Studio.  MatchPitch assists singing students in mastery of abrupt changes in vocal pitch by providing real-time visual feedback during practice.  MatchPitch assists in

  • Helping pitch-challenged students learn how to match pitch

  • Learning to sing difficult intervals accurately

  • Learning to tune sung notes to others (especially close dissonances)

  • Help in training upper passagio technique to ensure correct pitch in this region
